Sunset on the Bayou
Sunset on the Bayou
On this particular day, the sunset was wild and glorious. We were on the train heading back to New Orleans when the sun started to set, the train rode low on the track and we could easily have been on the water, reach out and you could touch it… everyone on the train was talking about something or other, distracted and in our own bubbles, heads down, mouths moving, distracted and engaged. Then the sun made her slow and everlasting descent west, the lower she got, the redder the sky and it was all things celestial. We all stopped and watched a miracle unfold before us
The wildest sunset ever; it stays with us forever
